LOGISTICS POTENTIAL AS A KEY FACTOR OF THE COMPETITIVENESS OF MODERN ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article examines the concept of logistics potential as an integral component of a company’s overall competitive potential. Particular emphasis is placed on its role in ensuring the effective management of material, information, and service flows. Logistics potential is analyzed as a holistic system encompassing a set of resources, capabilities, and competencies of the enterprise. To gain a deeper understanding of its impact on competitiveness, the structural elements of logistics potential are characterized, and their content and functional significance in the context of the modern market environment are outlined. The article summarizes the theoretical foundations of the logistics potential concept, its structure, and components, with special attention given to infrastructural, technological, human, and informational aspects. Examples of successful implementation of logistics solutions in both global and Ukrainian practice are presented, illustrating the significant role of logistics as a tool for building competitive advantages. It is emphasized that the analyzed cases demonstrate the strategic importance of investing in logistics, automation, digital technologies, and infrastructure development. It is concluded that such investments play a crucial role in enhancing business efficiency, improving customer interaction, and ensuring long-term growth. Logistics potential is viewed not merely as an operational function, but as a key factor in shaping strategic competitive advantages. The article also presents a generalized visualization of the main directions of logistics potential influence on enterprise competitiveness. It demonstrates how effective management of logistics resources and processes contributes to cost optimization, improved customer service quality, the development of sustainable competitive advantages, and the creation of added value. This, in turn, plays a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s market position and ensuring its sustainable development. Finally, the article reveals the interconnection between logistics potential and enterprise competitiveness, highlighting its role in operational efficiency, service quality, and strategic growth. The main challenges associated with globalization, digitalization, and market instability are analyzed, and promising directions for improving the efficiency of logistics processes are identified.
